Oregon
Depoe Bay
Kevin and I went on vacation on the Oregon coast. We stayed in Depoe Bay,
OR. We had a great time. The Oregon coast is beautiful! I really would like
to go back and spend more time there. It was very similar to the Northern
California coast but it was more integrated in the Oregonian way of life. Take
a look at some of the things we saw while we were there.
This was the romantic sunset on the first night. We were out there watching the
waves and the birds. The seagulls were non-stop making noise. It actually was
nice, you really knew you were at the ocean. I woke up around 3 o'clock and it
was pitch black and they were still
This was right outside of our room. Just a stones throw from the balcony.
The next day we went exploring. We saw devil's
punchbowl. We saw Otter Rock where we saw otters of
all things. Who knew? We were walking along and out
from a bush popped a squirrel. They were eating
peanuts. They were living in the bushes instead of
trees. They were friendly. They would reach up and
grab you with their little paws and their really long
claws.
Then after that we enjoyed a wine tasting at the only Oregon winery on the coast, The Flying Dutchman.
They had really interesting wine. Defiantly different than California wine. The had these two wines that
halfway through the fermentation process they added sweet fruit to make this wonderful sweet wine.
Here is one of Oregon's famous lighthouses.
